The umbrella ballast does not replace the umbrella base, but is an additional weight designed to increase the stability of the structure. It consists of a plate with the same dimensions as the base, to be placed on top of or integrated with the existing base, making it heavier and more secure.
The use of the ballast is especially recommended in very windy areas or exposed outdoor environments, where greater umbrella stability is essential to ensure safety and wind resistance.
