At the top of the new Palazzo Fendi, between Via Montenapoleone, Corso Matteotti and Piazza San Babila, entrepreneur Enrico Buonocore has built a vertical home dedicated to the sea, to cocktails, and to a contemporary idea of Milanese style. The building, a 1930s rationalist landmark designed by architect Emilio Lancia and recently transformed into the Roman maison's flagship, houses Langosteria across its top three floors, with spectacular views over central Milan: a new chapter for a group that began its story nineteen years ago on Via Savona, and today counts addresses from Paraggi to Paris, from St. Moritz to Porto Cervo. For the furnishing of two of these spaces, the Ally's Bar and PEPE, Unopiù's Aurora and Toscana collections were chosen, customised in colour finishes to reflect the identity of each setting.
A rationalist palazzo reinterpreted through venetian blinds and lobster red
The interiors were developed through a joint effort between Buonocore and the Fendi Architecture Department, with the aim of translating a slow, elegant journey into sober geometries and refined details. The building's rationalist lines are reinterpreted through the recurring use of venetian blinds and striped fabrics, canaletto walnut flooring, travertine surfaces and polished brass inserts, while the brand's signature lobster red punctuates boiserie, seating and furnishing details. It is within this setting, built on noble materials and a coherent design language across every floor, that the Unopiù furniture finds its natural place.
Ally's Bar: mixology and design on the sixth floor
On the sixth floor of the building sits Ally's Bar, the Langosteria group's first official cocktail bar, its name a tribute to Alessandra Maestroni, Buonocore's wife and a mixology enthusiast. An intimate setting, with low lighting and a scenic back bar, where bar manager Stefano Agostino curates a drinks list designed to accompany a selection of small dishes meant for sharing. The venue opens onto a terrace overlooking the Milan skyline and a private dining room reserved for its most exclusive moments, while from June the two summer terraces host a dedicated sandwich-and-spaghetti menu.
In this sophisticated, intimate space, furniture from the Toscana and Aurora collections was finished in blue, a colour that echoes the bar's atmosphere and reinforces its distinctive character compared to the other floors of the venue.
PEPE: the true essence of Italian cuisine on the fourth floor
On the fourth floor, opened in January 2026, is PEPE – Barra Italiana, a concept that is a genuine ode to conviviality and the group's first project to drop the "mother" brand name from its signage. Under the guidance of chef Luca Fantin, everything revolves around the "barra", the counter where the most iconic flavours of Italian tradition are shared in an immediate, convivial format: because Italian cuisine, beyond the food itself, is a way of being.
In this space too, the Toscana and Aurora collections define the furnishing, this time finished in green: a colour choice that visually distinguishes PEPE from the rest of the venue, while maintaining the same formal coherence and the same construction quality.
The Unopiù collections: wrought-iron elegance tailored for hospitality
For the Langosteria Montenapoleone project, Unopiù supplied chairs and armchairs from the Toscana collection, along with high bar tables from the Aurora collection, both customised in colour finishes to match the identity of each floor: blue for Ally's Bar, green for PEPE. The collections' distinctive style, with decorative wrought-iron scrolls, brings a strong character to both spaces, able to dialogue with the more sophisticated soul of the cocktail bar as well as the more convivial spirit of the Italian barra.
This ability to adapt to different contexts while retaining their own aesthetic identity is one of the qualities that makes Aurora and Toscana two of the most versatile collections in the Unopiù catalogue, suited to residential projects as much as to high-profile contract projects like this one.
