Cookies Policy Unopiù

Cookies are small files of text sent from the site to the terminal of the individual (usually to the browser) where they are memorized to be then retransferred to the site at the next visit of the same user. A cookie cannot recall any other data from the user’s hard disk nor transmit computer viruses nor acquire email addresses. Every cookie is unique for the user’s web browser. Some cookie functions can be delegated to other technologies. In the present document the term “cookie” indicates both cookies themselves as well as all similar technologies.

Through cookies it is possible to register information regarding your preferences, like the pages navigated or the download of files from our site or other similar actions carried out navigating our site.

Cookies can be first or third party, where “first party” means those developed by the Controllor of the site itself, while “third party” means those cookies developed by Third parties in respect to the Controllor of the site.

There are various types of cookie:

Technical cookies: Technical cookies are those used with the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication on an electronic communication network or, as is strictly necessary for the company service supplier, information explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to deliver that service” (cfr. art. 122, comma 1, of the Law).

They are not used for other purposes and normally are installed directly by the controllor or manager of the website. They can be subdivided into:

-       navigation or session cookies, that guarantee the normal navigation and fruition of the web site (for example permitting making a purchase or identifying oneself to enter reserved areas); they are in fact necessary for the correct funtioning of the site;

-       analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where they are used directly by the site manager to collect information, in associated form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, with the purpose of improving site performance;

-       functional cookies allow the user to navigate according to a series of chosen criteria (for example, language, products chosen for purchase) and also to improve the service itself. To install these cookies user consent is not necessary (further information can be found below in Cookie management)

Profiling cookies: Profiling cookies are to create profiles regarding users and are used to send publicity messages in line with the preferences shown by the web navigation. Consent from the user is necessary to use profiling cookies. According to regulation No. 229 of 8 May 2014 the user must be able to authorize or negate consent of the installation of profiling cookies where they are present.

In the case of third party cookies, the site does not have direct control of single cookies and cannot control them (can neither install them directly nor cancel them). These cookies can however be managed through browser settings (follow the instructions given below) or the sites indicated in the “Cookie management” section.

The user is therefore invited to verify on the site the third part indicated below.

Here is a list of the cookies present on the site:

COOKIE DURATION The duration of cookies is dictated by the expiry date (or by specific actions like closing the browser) set at the moment of installation. The cookies can be:

-       Temporary or session (session cookies): are used to archive temporary information, consent to

connect actions carried out during a specific session and are removed from the computer when the browser is shut down;

-       Permanent (persistant cookies): are used to archive information, for example the name and access password, so that the user does not have to digit every time he visits a specific site: These are memorized in the computer even when the browser is shut down.

c.d. session cookies are not conserved once connection to the present web site is terminated. The computer system used for the present site uses temporary and permanent cookies.

Cookies present on the web site can be deactivated by downloading special software like Ghostery (https://www.ghostery.com) for your browser and disabling the use of single cookies. Or you can activate “anonymous navigation” – a function that permits navigation without leaving traces of the navigation in the browser. This function only ensures that navigation data is not maintained in the browser. Alternatively, it is possible to disable/cancel the cookies by accessing the configuration panel of your browser.
