Tweed has won the “Premio Eccellenze del Design"

Unopiù’s Tweed collection, designed by Marco Paolelli and Sandro Meneghello, has won the Lazio "Premio Eccellenze del Design". This award was established by the Lazio ADI delegation (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale).

“We are proud and happy to have won this award”,  states Maurizio Motta, CEO of Unopiù “because this collection is the fruit of great research, development and collaboration with research designers, to introduce a new, iconic product with great personality. Besides”, continues Motta, “winning the Eccellenze del Design” is extremely important because our Tweed becomes a candidate for ADI’s oldest and most influential industrial design award: the Compasso d’Oro. This is a first for Unopiù and further reason to be proud”.

Tweed is a collection comprising a sofa and armchair with a strongly contemporary impact, introducing an amazing design, a ground-breaking combination of essences and prized alloys, the timeless taste of top quality teak and stainless steel. The indoor/outdoor fusion has been firmly established with Tweed, stimulating sensations as well as the visual and tactile evolution of two carefully chosen top quality materials. The balance between the warmth of wood and the coldness of steel, between the age-old history of one and the clearly contemporary and industrial nature of the other.
